The Good Girl is told by three
different characters: Mia’s mother (Eve), the detective (Gabe), and the
abductor(Colin), and it alternates between “before” and “after.” We don’t find
out until the end what the event is that denotes the change from before to after,
and it is not at all what I was expecting.
Kubica does an amazing job at developing her characters and making you feel like you have a front row seat to the despair and discovery weaved throughout the pages. I felt real emotion immersed in the world she created, and my heart literally felt broken. When I realized what happened, I was devastated. In short, Kubica makes you love and hate all the right people.

Honestly, I’m having a hard time
putting into words the emotions I feel after finishing The Good Girl. I loved
it... The final twist was like a knife to the gut and my compassion, respect, disappointment
for Mia soared even higher. The relationship between Mia/Chloe and Colin/Owen
was confusing, yet gripping. The development of Chole and Owen, Eve’s
realization, and Gabe’s fight to uncover the truth will pull you in and leave
you reeling.
The layers that surround these characters are
thick and you will enjoy every second of peeling them back! I highly recommend
for anyone who likes stimulating and suspenseful stories. You can buy it through my amazon affiliate link here!
